Navratri – The perfect inauguration for AHI’s first heart transplant

The unfortunate brain death of a 19-year-old boy helped a 39-year-old security guard have a second chance at life. After the boy’s untimely death, his parents decided to donate his heart for a transplant surgery to help someone else live his or her life. On the special occasion of Navratri, AHI performed its first heart transplant on the 39-year-old security guard. Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s husbands undergoes heart surgery at AHI

Parakala Prabhakar, who is the husband of Communications Advisor to A.P. government and Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, underwent a heart surgery at the AHI and is reported to be recovering steadily. Dr. Ramakanta Panda and his team of workers operated on Parakala Prabhakar and the operation was successful.
